Our Team

Doug Brewer is the founder and owner of Brewer Heating and Cooling. For the past 30 years as the leader of Brewer Heating, Doug has given his all every day to serve the greatest customers in the world. Through the years, Doug has seen many exciting changes to the business. From losing nearly everything in a fire in the first few years of the business, to acquiring several other heating and cooling companies, to opening a second location, to seeing the next generation show interest and take action to see the business continue for decades to come, Doug has just about seen it all. That said, Doug would be the first to say he learns something new every day.
Doug feels blessed to be able to work alongside his wife, Sally, since the beginning of the business; and children, Johnny and Abby, who recently joined the company. Doug’s charitable contributions and sponsorships, for which he never asks anything in return, are too numerous to list. Doug loves spending time at the family cabin in Princeton, which part of the Brewer Heating family helped build in the early years of the company. He also loves spending time doing just about anything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and farming in particular; and especially spending time with his family. Doug and Sally have been married for more than 25 years and have four children: Johnny, 25; Abby, 24; Rachel, 22; and Ryan, 19. Doug grew up in the Berlin area, graduated from Laconia High School in Rosendale, and has lived in Ripon since the founding of the company.

Founder and Owner
Sally Brewer
Owner & Administrative Support Staffer
Sally Brewer has been part of the Brewer Heating and Cooling family since the founding of the company three decades ago. She is thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Doug in the business while she raised their family over the years. Sally provides crucial administrative support in the office. Her favorite parts of working at Brewer Heating are the people she gets to work with and the growth and development she sees throughout the Brewer Heating family. Like Doug, Sally loves spending time with her family and being at the cabin. Sally grew up in Oshkosh, and has lived in Ripon since the founding of the business. Sally is a past president of the Ripon Medical Center Foundation and enjoys volunteering her time delivering meals to home-bound patients of the hospital through the Mobile Meals Program.
Excepting Doug and Sally Brewer, Mike Horzewski is the longest tenured member of the Brewer Heating and Cooling family, spending 29 wonderful years in the business. Without Mike’s unbelievably vast expertise and his unwavering dedication to the Golden Rule, Brewer Heating may not exist today. The phrase “Ask Big Mike” has become commonplace in the business as Mike is the go-to for any technical question about HVAC, electrical, or plumbing. Mike holds a degree in Electromechanical Technology, is NATE certified, holds an EPA Certification for all refrigerants, and has many other certifications that are too many to name.
Mike’s favorite part of the business is the customer family–helping customers solve the problems they have to make them more comfortable in their home, or by making a customer’s days by simply taking a few extra minutes to visit with them. He has a special place in his heart for the elderly of the area. Too often, Mike says, they are taken advantage of by contractors, and Mike works hard every day to reverse this stigma. Mike also loves how honest they are, that they take him for his word, and that they always have good advice for him. Mike has been a life-long resident of the area, currently residing in Princeton. He has been married to his wife Jolene for 32 years and has three incredible kids. Mike enjoys being outdoors as much as possible, no matter the weather.
